National Mentoring Project
Through mentoring efforts of our affiliates across the country, more than 11,400 at-risk children are currently engaged in ongoing, caring relationships with over 11,000 mentors. The purpose of the National Mentoring Project is to expand this work to serve more than 4,100 additional children, train and match 4,145 more mentors, and ultimately make 16 of our cities safer and stronger for children in which to grow into responsible, engaged citizens.
Administered by the Northwest Leadership Foundation, the National Mentoring Project seeks to strengthen and expand existing mentoring activities by promoting collaboration among national youth service organizations. This project will focus on building the capacity of 16 project partners to expand mentoring services to community of high disadvantage.
